A team called the Happy Ten were all pilots or crewmembers of the 6th Air Refueling Squadron that fly Boeing KC-10s out of Travis AFB. Their plane looked like a stubby child’s toy, and Christina Stenroos the only non-flier in the group was the elected pilot, Slim Pickens style on top. They won the second place distance award of $3,000 for their efforts.
