4th Annual Vertical Challenge Air Show Held as a one-day event at the San Carlos Airport, the Hiller Aviation Museum hosted their 4th annual Vertical Challenge all-helicopter air show on June 21st, 2003. While the count was down a bit from last years show, the variety and crowd turnout still made for an excellent event. This display had two air shows; one in the morning and another different one in the afternoon. Besides what you see here, there were also remote controlled helicopters and a multiple stacked kite demonstration included in the show. Some of our members that I ran across were Tom Northrop (NC 348), Norm Jukes (NC 193), Fay Kellogg (NC 340), and Larry Rinek (NC 387); let me know if I forgot you. As usual, I have to limit my space usage, and have tried to mix in a variety to represent this show. For more detail on this show, read about it in our Volume 19, #4 newsletter.
