Fall
Festival Fly-In
Held
during the weekend of October 5-6, 2002, the
annual Fly-In and Open House for the Wings of
History Museum at the South County Airport in San
Martin, was once again a success. Besides a hot
air balloon, military vehicles and stationary gas
engine displays, the main attention was grabbed
by a ramp full of Antique aircraft (missing from
this collection is Len von Clemms 1936 Stinson
SR-8B). There were also some newer aircraft such
as a Globe Swift, Piper Cub, Navion and a
Lancair. More info available at the Pacific
Flyer on this
fly-in. Photographs have captions underneath the
pictures. All photographs and captions in this
series are from Roger D. Cain (NC 148).
