New Years Day 2010 at the Schellville Aerodrome Gray skies and rain greeted those that arrived at Sonoma Valley Airport, known to the locals as the Schellville Aerodrome. This of course wasn't enough to stop the flying at the airport, as is evidenced by the pictures below. As with past events held at this airport, George Dray hosted a very tasty barbeque in his hangar, with burgers, hotdogs, side dishes, and plenty of desserts. A few planes came over from nearby airports and a number of them made nice flybys and I photographed what I could between rain showers. There was also a nice ceremony and spreading of the ashes for Ronnie Vacca and his dog Nash, both who passed away at the end of the year. There is text attached to all the photographs. I'm trying a larger size photograph, if you have Windows Explorer it may automatically reduce the picture size to fit your screen. If so, there is a tag that if when you move your curser over the bottom right corner of the picture, it will allow you to make it full size. All photographs (digital - Canon 7D & 50D) were taken by Roger Cain (SAH 2). These photographs posted on 1-3-10 |
