Wings Over Wine Country 2003 The Pacific Coast Air Museum, located at the Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa, held their 13th Annual Air Show during the weekend of August 23-24, 2003. The majority of the aircraft on display were from the museum and its membership, with additional aircraft from around California helping to round out the warbird contingency. Besides the aerobatic air show performers shown below, the Sonoma County Sheriffs Dept. simulated a rescue with their Bell Jet Ranger helo and an F-15 and F-18 flew through their high-energy routines. Crowds were estimated at around 25,000 between the two days, and the aircraft turnout was great. There was also a good display of classic and experimental aircraft on hand also. Member William Conwell (NC 331) had his Beech T-34 on display. All photographs were taken by Roger Cain (NC 148). These photographs posted on 10-12-03 |
