9th Annual Colusa Old Time Fly-In 2005 The Colusa Airmans Association (CCA) held another successful fly-in at the Colusa County Airport on July 23, 2005. Weather as usual was quite toasty, but bearable, as I've seen some hotter years here in the past. I had the pleasure of flying with Bill Conwell in his Beech T-34 Mentor (shown below) from San Carlos Airport, which is allways an enjoyable flight. Upon arrival to Colusa, as were all the pilots and their passengers, we were greeted by the CAA and treated to a free breakfast. 87 aircraft shared the ramp, with a nice variety of show planes to be seen. Following the first morning raffle in which lots of prizes were given away, a barbecue lunch was served with a second raffle following it, which closes out the days event. This usually results in a mass exodus of aircraft, and the ramp is once again quiet other than the occasional crop duster taking flight to spray the many rice fields that surrond this area. With limited space for pictures, I have tried to avoid a duplication of aircraft that I've posted in past years. If you have any additional information or corrections for these pictures, let me know. There is text attached to all the photographs. All text and photographs are by Roger Cain (NC 148). These photographs posted on 8-29-05 | |||||||||||||||||||||
