Third Annual All Red Star 2004 Held from May 12-16, I attended this event on May 15th which was open to the public at Castle Airport in Atwater, CA. The purpose of this gathering was to learn safe formation flying and operations of the aircraft. Once again, this has got to be the brightest aviation event that I've ever attended; the various paint schemes were absolutely incredible. I counted 51 ex-Eastern block aircraft on the day of my visit, thus I had a hard time deciding which pictures to post. On my visit, I counted 25 CJ-6A's and 14 Yak-52's as the most numerous type. I tried not to duplicate pictures of aircraft that I posted last year. If you have any additional information or corrections for these pictures, let me know. There is text attached to all the photographs. All photographs were taken by Roger Cain (NC 148). These photographs posted on 6-26-04 |
