All Red
Star West II 2003
Held from
May 7-11th 2003, I attended this event on May
10th which was open to the public at Castle
Airport in Atwater, CA. The purpose of this
gathering was to learn formation flying and safe
operations of the aircraft. This has got to be
the brightest aviation event that I've ever
attended, the various paint schemes were
absolutely incredible. Approximately some 55
aircraft showed up for this event, thus I had a
hard time deciding which pictures to post. On my
visit, I counted 20 CJ-6A's and 11 Yak-52's as
the most numerous type. Only one plane, an L-39
was wearing it's original paint, thus it was the
easiest to drop. In the long run, I eneded up
adding an extra 3 pictures to this page. All
photographs have captions underneath the
pictures. Roger D. Cain (NC 148).
