3rd Annual Vertical Challenge Air Show Held as a one-day event at the San Carlos Airport, the Hiller Aviation Museum hosted their third annual Vertical Challenge all-helicopter air show on June 21st, 2002. Over 50 helicopters participated to make this event a huge success, with a gate attendance of 7,852. This event had two air shows; one in the morning and a different one in the afternoon. The highlight of the event was a stacked hover of four different tandem-rotor helicopters, made possible by Classic Rotors Helicopter Museum, by bringing their two early Piasecki helicopters to this show.
