First place went to El Toro Guapo, which appeared tp be nothing more than a boogie board with wheels, and using a rubber slingshot to pull the pilot back some 50 feet to launch; splashed down at a distance of over forty feet. They won the coveted prize of $7,500 plus bragging rights for a season.
